可转让信用证
可转让信用证(Transferable Credit) 是指开证行授权可使用信用证的银行(通知行)在受益人的要求下,可将信用证的全部或一部分转让给第二受益人的信用证。指信用证的受益人可以要求授权付款、承担延期付款的责任、承兑或议付的银行，或当信用证是自由议付时，可以要求信用证中特别授权的转让银行，将信用证全部或部分转让给一个或数个受益人的信用证。唯有开证行在信用证注明“可转让”，信用证才可转让。此证只能转让一次，即只能由第一受益人转让给第二受益人，第二受益人不得要求将信用证转让给其后的第三受益人，但若再转让给第一受益人，不属于被禁止转让的范畴。

背对背信用证
在贸易实务中，中间商分别同实际用户和实际供应商签订有供应和采购合同，实际用户向中间商开出一个不可转让的信用证时，中间商不能直接转让这个信用证，但可以要求与其有往来的银行以该信用证为保证，以其为申请人，开出的以实际供应商为受益人的信用证。这个信用证就是背对背信用证(Back to Back Credit)。
