糯质型玉米
糯质型玉米，亦称“糯玉米”、“蜡质玉米”、“黏玉米”。玉米的一种类型。是硬粒玉米发生了基因突变,并经过人工选择而形成的类型。最早在中国的广西、云南一带发现。籽粒不透明,无光泽,外观似蜡状,白、黄、紫、杂色均有。以白粒种最多,品质也最好,但要求较好的水肥条件。中国各地均有种植,在云南、广西、贵州一带山区种植较多。胚乳全部由枝链淀粉所组成,籽粒煮熟后黏软。常作为嫩玉米鲜食,或磨粉制作各种糯性糕点。
