工作依恋（work attachment）是指员工对组织及其从事工作的依赖程度。斯蒂尔与I．W．波特的研究发现，动机、能力技术与角色明晰度这三个因素影响着员工的工作表现。其中一个重要的动机因素是“对组织的依赖程度”。其关键是：“组织对员工要求的是什么，以及员工作为交换对组织要求的是什么”。
